Decolonizing the South African workplace requires active leadership that has embraced the concept of Black Consciousness. The move will eliminate the west ideology that seems to be the order of the day in South African infect all African private and public organizations. Remuneration in an African context because of the ”collectivism” nature of our being as Africans should consider the ”extended families” that ”black” people have to take care of as opposed to the remuneration that considers the employee’s immediate family. Our people are indebted because of the shape of the remuneration structure of companies in Africa that is predicated on the Eurocentric ideology of ”individualism.
