After a run to a local bookstore looking for a specific type of story, and returning home empty handed and frustrated I decided to write the story I wanted to read. Six months later I had completed my first manuscript. Taking the first steps I found myself pulled into another world. I enjoy mixing real life experiences with fiction, and stripping away the layers of pretence. Being a keen observer of people and of life, I am not afraid to explore the human psyche as it so richly provides for writing material, bringing it to life in a story or a poem is the most rewarding challenge for me. I have only been writing for 4 years so I am fairly new at it, however I am told that my work is easy to read and resonates with the reader. I write in both English and Afrikaans.
